Qualification, Skills and Experience

• B Sc degree in any Engineering discipline with 10 years project experience in the Petrochemical /Oil Industry
• Knowledge of SABIC Engineering Specifications & applicable Industry Standards and Codes ( Ex . API, ASME)
• Reads and understands engineering drawings.
• Fully conversant with engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, engineering standards specs and codes.
• Knowledge of PC & applicable software related to project s
• Familiar with ISO 2000 requirements.
• Fluent in English language.
• Proficient in project management processes.

Duties

• Execute minor /major projects and plant changes.
• Coordinates all assigned project design and engineering work
• Checks final design drawings and monitors construction work through regular site visits, meetings, and contractor progress reports.
• Ensures that the work is carried out in safe, timely and efficient manner in accordance with the contract terms and conditions.
• Prepares and maintains all required project files and documents.
• Coordinates project construction work stages
• Ensures that all project outstanding items are cleared, and prepares project-closing documentation.
• Arranges with the contractor as required to ensure a smooth mobilization/demobilization and to ensure the site is left clean on completion of project.
• Ensures that all required documents updated upon the completion of project.
• Same as Senior Project Engineer plus:
• Responsible to manage major size projects.
• Define the project management process to be applied to the project.
• Prepare project staffing plan.
• Prepare project plan and obtain management approval of the project plan.
• Assure that all team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations & standards of local authorities.
• Ensure “on time” submittals of all required reports, documents and information maintaining required levels of quality and accuracy.
• Ensure that established goals and objectives are measured and achieved.
• Commitment to safely complete the project within schedule, cost and quality.

Supervision/Decision Making Authority

• Authorized to make decisions related to project within the approved scope & execution strategy, which includes, design, scope, utilization of Funds within approved financial authority schedule.
• Must obtain management approval for committing resources above his authority limits.
• Functionally supervise the project team members.

Key Competencies

• Good planning and consideration of critical time factors.

• Design Softwares like COMPRESS by Codeware Awareness Software, CODECALC & PV-ELITE by COADE Engineering Software and QUATTRAPRO, an in-house software by Belleli, Mantova , Italy for Pressure Vessels & Columns and B-JAC by Aspen Technology Inc. & HED5 by Whoessoe Computing Systems, U.K for Heat Exchangers, Local Load Analysis ( WRC Bulletins 107 & 297) Package by Finglow, FEA by Paulin Research Group

Duties /Responsibilities

• Detailed Design & Engineering of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tall Towers and etc. as per ASME SEC.VIII DIV.1,ASME SEC.VIII DIV2,TEMA, PD5500 & etc.
• Design Reviews, Checking & Approval
• MTO preparation
• Tender document Preparation and Technical Bid evaluation &Technical Clarifications
• Vendor Drawing & Design Calculations Reviews & Issue for Construction.
• Kick off meeting with Clients and Fabricators.
• Tender document Preparation(Preparation/Review of Project Specification for Static Equipment, Equipment Datasheets)and Technical Bid evaluation,
• Technical Clarifications, Post Award Communications Records.
• Vendor Drawings and Design Calculations Reviews & Approval for Construction.
• Lead inter discipline meetings to resolve relevant technical agenda.
• Vendor Drawing Reviews & Issue for Construction.
• Kick off meeting with Clients and Fabricators.
• Tender/Enquiry Issue and Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Tender Document Preparation,Cost Estimation,Technical Bid Evaluation,Technical Clarifications,Commercial Bid Evaluation and Placement of Orders.
